Bhabhi means “sister-in-law” in Hindi and other South Asian languages. It is used by one to refer to one’s elder brother’s wife. Sometimes it is also used affectionately to address one’s friend’s wife. With the suffix ‘ji’ it is also a respectful form of address to married women by person’s of their own age group.
Bhabi or Bhabhi can be used as similar words. Bhabhi has very importance in South Asian culture. Bhabhi is considered, Maa Samaan (like mother). This relation is portrayed as a general image full of love, kindness and a very friendly person in family for Dewars. There are many songs in Punjabi about Bhabhi and in other languages of South Asia.
