This is a 2 year old photo. When she was not enrolled in University of Edinburgh and they were enjoying August festival. When it comes to holidays in Edinburgh, everyone knows that the August festival in this Scottish city is quite the event. The festival is packed with excitement, complete with music and shows and a little something for everyone. The streets are full, Edinburgh hotels are at peak capacity, and the ambiance is almost frenetic. However, while a holiday during this time is certainly never dull, it can be a bit exhausting.

FYI When most people think of traveling abroad to Europe: Paris, London, or Rome come to mind. However, just a little further north is Europe’s diamond, the city of Edinburgh. The city has so much to offer in terms of history and culture. Edinburgh also has numerous restaurants which serve dishes from traditional haggis to spicy curry. Scotland is well known for its whisky, and visitors may have a wee taste of whiskey at the numerous shops or at the Bow bar.

Gauri and Kajal are two Indian NRIs from Nottingham, England. They are cousines and their family has a Masala business in England. Gauri & Kajal tells us that Nottingham is famed for its links with the Robin Hood legend and, during the Industrial Revolution, obtained worldwide recognition for its lace-making industry. It was granted its city charter as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria in 1897 and has since been officially titled the City of Nottingham.

Gauri is doing a part time job in Nottingham Royal Concert Hall while studying in a local college. The 2,500-capacity Nottingham Royal Concert Hall and 9,500-capacity Nottingham Arena attract the biggest names in popular music. For less mainstream acts and a generally more intimate atmosphere, Nottingham has a selection of great smaller venues including The Salutation, Seven (formerly Junktion 7), The Old Angel, the award-winning dedicated rock music venue Rock City and the smaller sister venues The Rescue Rooms, The Bodega Social Club and Stealth. These venues, with their packed listings and close proximity, make Nottingham one of the centres of live popular music in the UK.
