You can spend your leisure in activities that improve you both mentally and physically. You can read good, stimulating works that are both enjoyable and uplifting. You can learn a new language. You can learn to play a musical instrument. You can begin an exercise regimen that makes you feel better and pumps up your energy levels. Although these good leisure activities are best for us, they are the hardest to get into because they all demand a certain amount of energy. You can’t just sit there and “veg out.” They are intellectually challenging and emotionally engaging and demand that you actively participate. You have to put something into these activities for the big payoff in the end. When you engage in these good activities, you will feel good. You will have more understanding. You will feel happy with your choices and know that you are enjoying and improving yourself at the same time. Your future will not only look brighter, but it will be brighter.
